Anthony
My name is Anthony Tucker, and I am a first year journalism student at Thompson Rivers University with a deep passion for sports and storytelling. Growing up in Vancouver, sports were always a major part of my life. From spending ten years on the baseball diamond to competing in wrestling, I learned discipline, teamwork, and dedication through athletics. Those experiences shaped not only my love for sports, but also my drive to share the excitement and stories behind them.

Now based in Kamloops, I am developing my skills in reporting, broadcasting, and digital media with a focus on sports journalism. I aim to bring energy, personality, and authenticity into my coverage while connecting audiences to the moments that matter both on and off the field.
I also have a deep passion for all things motorsports, and my long term goal is to become a motorsports journalist or broadcaster. I am drawn to the intensity, precision, and storytelling that come with racing, and I hope to one day cover the sport at the highest levels.
One of the best ways to see this passion in action is through Kamsports, where my team and I deliver the latest coverage from the Kamloops sports scene. Our goal is to push the TRU student population beyond campus only sports and into the wider local sports community. By bridging the gap between students and the city’s athletic culture, we aim to keep fans informed, engaged, and excited about everything Kamloops sports has to offer.
